拂晓中的布达拉宫，西藏
这是我最喜欢的一张摄自西藏的照片。前一天晚上我曾观察过这个镜头，但当我在拂晓前回来时，我本来计划在其上拍摄的佛塔上已经有火光燃起。虽然不知道发生了什么事，我还是登上了佛塔，于是得知当地人每周三都会出来为达赖喇嘛回归而祈祷。他们烧的是从街上买来的枯草和香料。当太阳没有完全出来照亮这座宫殿时，这个镜头显得更加深远。

Potala at Dawn, Tibet
his is my favorite picture from Tibet. I had scouted this shot out the previous evening, but when I returned before dawn there were fires burning up on the stupa I had planned to shoot from. Not understanding what was happening, I climbed up anyway and learned the local people come out every Wednesday to pray for the Dalai Lama's return. They burn grasses and spices they buy down on the street. While the sun never came out properly to light the palace, this shot has far more.
