As of January 1 2008, London Zoo had a total of 15,104 creatures, including invertebrates, fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals. Among them were:

• 612 cockroaches, from five different species

• 331 Spiny anemonefish

• 302 Seychelles giant millipedes

• 210 Banded characidum fish

• 57 Madagascar golden frogs

• 41 Blackfooted penguins

• 29 Jamaican Boa snakes

• 24 Greater flamingoes

• 15 Oriental small-clawed otters

• 13 Bushy-tailed cloud rats

• 3 Western Lowland Gorillas

• 2 Lions

• 2 Tigers

• 1 giraffe
