海洋蓝洞

　　海洋蓝洞是海底巨大、突然下沉的“深洞”，其名字源于从海面之上观看对比周边的水域时，这个海底“深洞”呈现昏暗，具有不祥的蓝色调。蓝洞有数百英尺深，当潜水员潜入海洋蓝洞进行勘测时才发现这里严重缺氧，可能是由于缺少水循环无法支持海洋生命存在。但是海洋蓝洞极具科学研究价值，目前科学家在海洋蓝洞底部发现许多远古化石残骸。

Blue holes are giant and sudden drops in underwater elevation that get their name from the dark and foreboding blue tone they exhibit when viewed from above in relationship to surrounding waters. They can be hundreds of feet deep and while divers are able to explore some of them they are largely devoid of oxygen that would support sea life due to poor water circulation - leaving them eerily empty. Some blue holes, however, contain ancient fossil remains that have been discovered, preserved in their depths.
