Clandestine graves are a common site in Juarez. Homicides have increased more than tenfold this year, as drug cartels battle each other and federal authorities. Monuments such as this one can be found in areas where bodies are regularly dumped. Eleven bodies were found piled one atop the other in this particular empty lot.
