“金雕捷而鸷，秋深，翅劲，野狐、劲狼、黄羊之属遇之，无得脱者”，记者２日在猎鹰节上目睹了猎鹰捕获猎物的情景。
本次猎鹰节在乌兰巴托市郊旅游区举行。蒙古国西部巴彦乌列盖省有许多以驯鹰和捕猎为生的哈萨克族人，这是他们首次在乌兰巴托举行猎鹰节。驯鹰人向人们展示在远处召唤猎鹰、高处放鹰捕食等狩猎技能，使人们真正了解驯鹰人的装备和文化。
深冬的乌兰巴托天高云淡，空气清爽。开幕式上，驯鹰人跨骏马一字排开，从白皑皑的雪原深处进入人们的视野，他们身着皮衣，头戴红帽，每人胳膊上架着一只黑色的猎鹰。
扎·赛朗已驯鹰１５年。他告诉记者，参加此次猎鹰节的哈萨克族驯鹰人既有８０岁的老人，也有１８岁的学生。目前，在巴彦乌列盖省有６００多名以驯鹰和狩猎为生的人。
他说：“很高兴举办猎鹰节，希望哈萨克族的这项传统能够为人们所熟知，这也是我们举办猎鹰节的初衷。”
旁边人群中传来阵阵喝彩声。放飞的猎鹰从高空直下，一下子抓住了快马拖着的假狐狸，驯鹰人驱马赶到，从猎鹰的爪子下取回“猎物”。
据介绍，蒙古国哈萨克族人驯服的猎鹰大致属于隼类，也称海东青。成年猎鹰体重可达６.５公斤，通常母鹰比公鹰更凶猛。
扎·赛朗说，冬季是猎鹰捕猎的最佳时节，猎人带着猎鹰在高处寻找猎物，一旦有所发现，猎人即撒手放鹰，野兔、雪鸡、狐狸、旱獭和黄羊一般难以逃脱。
蒙古国近年大力发展旅游业，越来越多的国外游客赴蒙感受自然风光和特色文化，驯鹰是其中的特色项目之一。
