10:卡西尼拍到的木星

　　最近几年，我们已经看到了不少精彩的木星照片，它们不是卡西尼飞船就是伽利略飞船拍摄的。这一张照片之所以很特别，是因为它是上述照片的集大成者。

　　目前，卡西尼飞船正飞往土星，它是在接近木星时拍到这张照片的。天文学家有意识地延长了曝光时间，目的是为了捕捉到木星彩云最佳的球状景象。

　　我们现在有足够的理由期待2004年会出现如此完美的土星照片。卡西尼飞船最近拍下一张土星照片，虽然距离很远，但这张最新的照片预示着2004年卡西尼肯定会传回大量土星照片。也许明年这个时候的"十佳"照片中会有卡西尼的新作品。

10. Jupiter by Cassini

We've seen a lot of great images of Jupiter in recent years, from both the Cassini and Galileo spacecraft. This one is special because it's a preview of sorts.

Cassini, now en route to Saturn, took this picture as it approached Jupiter. Astronomers took time to capture several long exposures, to make what they say is the best global view of Jupiter's colorful clouds ever captured.
